Youth workers and representatives from People in Focus joined the SHINE ✨ International Training on Civic Engagement, taking place across Romania 🇷🇴, Germany 🇩🇪, and Bulgaria 🇧🇬.
Each country brought a different learning experience:
📍 In Timișoara, Romania, the focus was on understanding the basics, where participants explored democracy, youth participation, and civic engagement, while trying out interactive tools from the SHINE Toolkit.
📍 In Frankfurt, Germany, the training became more hands-on, diving into topics like diversity, equality, and inclusion, as well as exploring podcasting 🎙️ as a creative way to educate and connect communities.
📍 In Sofia, Bulgaria, participants learned by doing ; designing awareness campaigns 🗣️, playing the “Democracy in Play” board game 🎲, and reflecting on their journey before receiving their YouthPass Certificates 🏆.
A valuable international experience empowering youth workers to create more inclusive, active, and engaged communities.
