Objectives:
- Raising awareness on the phenomenon of Hikikomori (social withdrawal) among youngsters, families, youth associations, schools and institutions, its possible causes and dynamics;
- Training youth workers, educators and teachers in order to work on prevention and identify the signals of social withdrawal, providing with knowledge, techniques and materials for their local action;
- Creating a network at local and international level to foster the recognition of the Hikikomori phenomenon and its integration among local and national priorities;
- Contributing to the implementation of EU Youth Strategy e EU Youth goals at transnational level;
Expected results:
- Increased knowledge on the topic of hikikomori, especially in the prevention and recognition of the first signals of social withdrawals among the educational community, youngsters and local communities
- Acquisition of new non-formal methods and techniques, to adapt to young people with different needs,
- Increased responsiveness and inclusiveness of the school and formal education system towards social withdrawal and needs of youngsters
- New non-formal methods, materials and tools to approach youngsters and improve the quality of local activities
