Project name: A.I. EDU SEA – Artificial Intelligence for Education on SEA
Program: (Interreg VI-A) IPA CBC South Adriatic (Italy-Albania-Montenegro)
Project ID: SA-0300474 – A.I. EDU SEA
The AI EDU SEA project focuses on promoting experimental marine science education in the South Adriatic area, using the Ocean Literacy model to integrate innovative tools like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR) into blue curricula. The goal is to support young generations in understanding the complexity of marine biodiversity and to create educational programs that empower students to become agents of environmental change. By incorporating cutting-edge technologies, the project aims to shift how people live on the planet, with a particular emphasis on sustainable interaction with the marine environment.
Objective: To transform educational curricula by introducing AI, machine learning, and virtual reality tools to enhance understanding and protection of marine biodiversity.
The AI EDU SEA project adopts a cross-border, transnational approach due to the shared nature of marine ecosystems, which transcend political boundaries. By bringing together educators, researchers, and policymakers from different regions, the project can develop more comprehensive and unified strategies for marine protection.
This approach also allows for the exchange of knowledge and best practices across different educational systems, leading to more effective and scalable solutions.
