Objective of the Child Protection Policy
The Child Protection Policy of People in Focus aims to protect every child and young person involved in our activities from all forms of abuse, exploitation, neglect, or violence, regardless of age, ability, ethnicity, gender identity, religion, or sexual orientation. It sets forth the principles and rules that guide our approach, promoting risk prevention, awareness, open communication, and safe reporting.
People in Focus is committed to ensuring a safe environment in every phase of our work— from planning, to implementation, monitoring, and communication—by listening to and respecting the rights and needs of children.
We are guided by these core principles:
- Every child has the right to protection from harm.
- Everyone has a responsibility to ensure the protection of children.
- Organizations have an obligation to care for children impacted by their work.
- The best interests of the child shall always be a priority.
